Project 7: Surrealism and Photo Montage

"Pecking Order"

In this piece I used multiple layers including a sunset sky that depicted pink clouds, a city skyline, a pigeon, a tower, and building from Venice. I scaled them differently to create the appearance that a giant pigeon was standing on old Venetian houses, pecking a tower, with a contrastingly modern city landscape in the background.

"Mystery of Sunrise"

In this piece I took a landscape I had of a surfer walking into the water and transformed it. I added a picture of Luke in front of a circular sculpture at the art museum and added a yellow tint. I then scaled it down and made it appear so as if it was coming up from behind the horizon, like the sun does while rising. Then to create an even more surrealistic feeling I added saturated leaves that reminded me of the jungle, which added to the tropical feeling of the picture. Finally I added a lense flare to create a picture as if the sun was rising.

"Melting Away"

In this photo I just wanted to experiment with the liquify tool. So I took a picture of AnneMarie in a bathtub and when he body was in contact with the water I liquified it to give it the appearance that she was melting.

"Static"

Like the one above, in this photo of AnneMarie in a bathtub I experimented with the liquify tool.
